Beer Belly Linked to Alzheimers disease

A US study of more than 700 adults showed that being overweight is associated with smaller brain volume, a factor linked with dementia.

Men's Belly Size Predicts Heart Disease:

belly size predicts heart disease

Clinical studies have revealed that the size of a man's belly is actually a better predictor of heart disease than general obesity. Men with central obesity (beer belly to me and you) tend to develop higher blood pressure, regardless of body mass index (BMI) than men who store fat in other areas of the body.
Our Opinion:
The increase in medical science and media publication of these studies highlights more conclusively the underlying health issues linked with excess weight and the beer belly. These studies may not be the case for all individuals however they show a reoccurring pattern that health is affected when overweight and it can have a huge bearing on both your own life and your family’s life. Changing this and introducing a strict diet, less alcohol and exercise can reduce the Beer Belly and ultimately reduce the health risks which come with it.
